Target Sarl, a market research and consulting company, has completed a study of favorite personalities and influencers in the Greater Katanga.
The study's objective remains the same: to facilitate decision-makers and organizations to make a cautious choice as to the personality proficiency of influencing their targets. Between May 11 and 25, 2023, a sample of 1,200 people was interviewed in the four provincial capitals of Greater Katanga. The sample was representative in terms of gender, province, and age group.
The survey targeted 4 areas: Media (TV/Radio/Print), Sport, Music, and Comedy. It also focused on personalities who, by their status or social position, influence public opinion via digital tools (Internet/Social Networks).
Three musicians topped the list in the music industry: Fally IPUPA (13%), MUSKATE (5%), and Double K (4%). Fally IPUPA is most popular in Kolwezi (25%), followed by Lubumbashi (18%) and Kalemie (9%), while the artist was not mentioned in Kamina (0%). Fally also targets young people aged 18 to 24 (18%).
However, the musician MUSKATE is only mentioned in Kamina with a score of 18%, compared with 0% in the other three towns. The 25-34 age group prefers him, and he is quoted much more by men (6%) than by women (3%).
Meanwhile, Double K is the favorite of Kalemie, with a score of 15% versus 0% for Lubumbashi, Kolwezi, and Kamina. Target's chosen audience, however, is evenly split between men and women (4%), dominated by the 35 to 49 age group, followed by the 18 to 24 age group.
For further information, Target Sarl invites companies and personalities wishing to promote their products and/or images to refer to the results of this study.
