Information and Communication Studies (SIC) students from Lubumbashi University in the same city gathered at Amphitheatre 01 on Saturday, 15 June 2024, as part of an impregnation course.
More than 500 students, mainly in their first and second year (BAC1 and BAC2) and from different graduating classes, attended an academic session on entrepreneurship and market research. The chairman of the meeting was the General Manager of Target Sarl.
Serge Mumbu began his presentation by unfolding his career as an entrepreneur, hoping to encourage students to learn from his experience and avoid the mistakes associated with entrepreneurial risk.
Similarly, the session's speaker explained to students the basics of market research and its importance to business success, drawing a link between SICs and market research.
Professors Jacky Mpungu Mulenda, Deputy Dean for Research in the Faculty of Arts, and Boniface Ruku Abia, Secretary of the SIC Department for Research, co-chaired the meeting.
After more than two hours of discussion and debate, the students in the induction courses listened with great interest to Serge Mumbu’s presentation. The session ended on a positive note.
