Target Sarl employees trained in first-aid
Target SARL employees participated in a first-aid training session conducted by the Mosungi Centre on September 13 to 14. The aim of this initiative was to enhance the company's commitment to humanitarian efforts by equipping employees with essential skills to effectively handle emergencies.
The training consisted of two parts. The first part covered the basics of first-aid, while the second part involved hands-on practice. The trainers started with an overview of first-aid principles, including key roles, basic rules, and intervention protocols. The core principles of first-aid are encapsulated in the acronym "PAS": Protect, Alert, and Save. It's crucial to prioritize one's own safety before assisting others in danger.
The practical portion of the course included life-saving techniques, the appropriate demeanor for a rescuer when dealing with a victim, and how to manage cases of fainting, loss of consciousness, or coma. Thanks to the teaching materials provided by the Mosungi Foundation, participants were able to perform simulation exercises for each lesson, either in pairs or groups, depending on the specifics of each case.
The two-day course ended with participants expressing their gratitude to their employer for organizing the initiative and praising the quality of the training provided by the Mosungi Foundation. Before taking a family picture, the Mosungi Foundation, represented by its Managing Director, Alexis INDENGE, awarded certificates of participation. Serge Mumbu, Managing Director of Target SARL, also attended this performance. The training took place at Target's head office in Kinshasa Gombe.
