Target SARL Shares Recent Research in Central Africa
At a press conference held at Mikhael’s Hotel in Brazzaville, Target SARL presented its latest research studies on Generation Z in Central Africa, as well as ongoing documentary studies in the Republic of the Congo.
This event was organized alongside the 5th edition of the Rencontre des Entrepreneurs Francophones (REF), taking place from June 26 to 28, 2025, in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo. The REF is a major gathering for Francophone business leaders, co-hosted by Unicongo and the Alliance des Patronats Francophones.
Active in the Republic of the Congo since 2012 and in several other Central African countries, Target SARL conducts research in a wide range of sectors, including: Communication, Cooperation, Energy, Environment, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Mining, Politics, FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), Health, and Telecommunications.

1. Documentary Studies in the Republic of the Congo
Target SARL is currently conducting a series of documentary studies in the cities of Brazzaville, Pointe-Noire, Dolisie, Oyo, Loango, Sibiti, Kinkala, Impfondo, Ouesso, Owando, Djambala, and Mandingou. These studies focus on three main sectors: banking and ATMs, service stations, and modern food retail.
- The banking study provides an overview of banks operating in the country, categorized by ownership (local or foreign), and includes a full mapping of banking infrastructure such as branches, ATMs, and digital services.
- The study on service stations maps the current network in major cities and analyzes available services, including types of fuel, lubricants, and complementary offerings.
- The retail study focuses on modern food distribution, mapping hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience stores, and other food outlets. The data will help industry players make informed decisions on expansion and diversification.
These studies aim to address the lack of up-to-date statistical information, as previously done by Target SARL in other countries such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
2. Generation Z in Central Africa
The study on Generation Z covers six Central African countries: Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Republic of the Congo (RC), Chad, Central African Republic (CAR), and Gabon. It provides an in-depth look at the evolving behaviors and needs of this rapidly growing population segment in a digital age.
Topics covered include: the profile and daily life of young people, digital habits, content consumption, social media usage, use of SVoD platforms, shopping and consumption behaviors, influence of web personalities, gambling practices, contraceptive use, and beverage consumption.
