Innovation and staff training in the core of Target in 2020

In its eleventh newsletter, the market research firm Target reviews 2019 and announces its ambitions for 2020.

A balance sheet that the general manager Serge Mumbu considers positive even if not all the objectives have been achieved in migrating the studies databases via the server, the analysis, and the data processing via Power BI. This migration project's finalization is one of this year's major objectives.

The last quarter of 2019 was a time of "challenges." To have a staff with increased and continually updated knowledge in the research industry, Target has been conducting capacity-building activities for its staff. This year the company plans to do better.

Nearly half of the project department's staff is undergoing international training, such as Arlette Leumbou and Martial Buduile, continuing to hone their practical and theoretical skills at Georgia University in the United States of America, one of the world's most renowned market research universities. Target's goal is to satisfy its client's needs beyond their requirements. In addition, the firm wants to have in its midst more proven specialists in the various sectors of market research.

Target will institute this language as the only working language in the project department by June in a world of market research dominated by English. But daily, the members of this department exchange only in English in a friendly atmosphere.

Introduction of new software

The requirements of Target's customers are well known, among which is quality work delivered within ever more constraining deadlines. Target intends to use two key software packages in the market research sector to meet their demands, NVIVO and MS PROJECT. The former is one of the best software packages for qualitative data analysis. With this new tool, Target will put an end to the work of tedious analyses of a mix of focus groups. Long reports will now be written with a considerable saving of time.

MS PROJECT has the reputation of being the best project management software in the world. This tool allows better tracking of all the projects in progress and helps to achieve better planning. The firm will then be able to manage better the resources assigned to each project while respecting the timings given to its clients and partners. Thus, through a rigorous application of all its staff, the Project Department obtains new intellectual and technical resources to better serve by aligning with international standards.

In 2019 the Target firm published several results of numerous studies conducted in several sectors, including media, health, banking, insurance, politics, women's rights, cement, water, and so many others. He also published several opinion polls and desk studies. During the same year, the company also invested in training supervisors and interviewers. It has also supervised interns, some of whom have joined the company after distinguishing themselves.
